Since I have been having so many blood sugar problems lately, I knew I had to do something differently today.
I decided to add in a little maple syrup to my lemon juice drink (this is the same juice that I’ve been drinking, see Day 1). I figured, if it was okay for the Master Cleanse (lemons, maple syrup, & cayenne pepper), it would be okay for me, and it was.
Even though I was so sick of drinking the same lemon juice recipe, I did feel a little better with the Maple syrup added in.
By noon, I was really tired, and a little weak and shaky. I just did not have any energy — especially since I really wasn’t digesting any of my food. “No digestion” means “no nutrients”. I ended up snacking on some carrots throughout the day.
That evening, I had to go to Whole Foods to pick up some more produce. I got so hungry afterward; I just had to eat something. I ate this wonderful raw food bar called “Healthy Addictions – Coco Bliss”.
It had raw cacao, raw coconut, raw almond butter, and some other tasty ingredients. I’m telling you, these things are “to-die-for”. They are that good. Unfortunately, they are very small with a big price tag, so I can’t eat them very often. Bummer!
After enjoying my scrumptious snack, I didn’t eat anything else the rest of the night. I didn’t drink any more juice that night either. I was sick of the juice and was super tired, so I retired early that evening.
