I have to tell you, these past few days have been very difficult for me. Not just because I’m eating raw foods, but because it has been hectic. Having to do all the planning and preparing for all the meals, while still trying to get everything else done and on time.
I have continued to be cranky and irritable all week. I am really looking forward to getting back to normal in a few days.
The good news is my blood sugar has been more stable the last couple of days, and nothing is more annoying than having your blood sugar plummet when you are trying to get something done!
This morning’s smoothie was nothing new. The same old frozen fruit with all the mixin’s. I added some bananas again into my smoothie, and that was a big mistake. Too many bananas this week has caused my stomach to get all bloated now when I try to eat them.
I stopped eating the smoothie after than because I had a “Raw Food” Luncheon/Demo/Cooking Class to go to today. It was a “South of the Border” Raw Food Style “Lunch and Learn” with Dr. Ritamaria Loscalzo and Certified Raw Food Chef Karen Osborne. It was really an honor to be in their presence.
About Dr. Ritamarie, she is a Chiropractor, an Acupuncturist, a Certified Clinical Nutritionist, with a Masters in Human Nutrition. She is also certified as a living foods chef, instructor, coach and teacher. There really isn’t much she can’t do. She’s been eating raw foods since 1985 — way before it was the “in” thing to do — and more than anything, she looks and feels great!
I have never seen anyone with that much energy! I really hope to be bouncing around energetically one day. Hopefully, through juicing and raw foods, I will be healthy and vibrant and pain-free someday soon. That’s the plan!
