I had a rough day detoxing today. I woke up starving, again. I immediately drank some Amazing Grass Wheat Grass juice to hold me over.
I decided on a new recipe from my new book, Raw Food Raw Juices. It’s called “Blood Purifier”. The recipe called for an apple, beet, carrot, parsley, spinach, and ginger.
I really don’t like ginger, so I cut of a couple of really small pieces and juiced them first. I wanted to keep the ginger separate, just in case I put too much in. I had to put a couple of bites of beets in behind it to push it through the juicer.
I set the ginger/beet mix to the side and carried on with my juicing. Unfortunately, the smell of ginger was so strong that I just knew there were still a few little pieces stuck in the juicer that were going to come out and overtake the rest of my juice. To ensure that didn’t happen, I took apart the juicer and rinsed everything off really well before moving on with my juicing.
